The streetcar at the end of the year

DSC01007

Thanks to the switch work scheduled for this summer at Porte de Bourgogne, two new streetcar lines will be created on the basis of existing infrastructure, i.e. without the need to lay new tracks. Opening at the end of the year, lines E and F, combined with the reorganization of lines A and C, will offer smoother, more direct and more convenient journeys.

Frequency will be increased on the network's busiest route, between Cenon station and Pellegrin, with service every 2 min 30.

Line E will provide passengers on the Right Bank with immediate connections: from the A and E trunk lines, they will be able to reach the Quinconces interchange without having to transfer.

Line F will provide a direct connection between the airport and Saint-Jean station in just 45 minutes.

Passengers using the common trunk of lines A and F will benefit from new direct destinations, with simplified access to Saint-Jean station and Bègles, in addition to the Right Bank, already served today.

Nearly 7% of passengers will now be able to avoid a transfer. Some users of antennas E and F will have to make a change to reach their destination. This can be done upstream of Porte de Bourgogne for greater convenience.

At the same time, the new express bus line H will be put into service, and several bus routes will be reorganized.

This page will be progressively updated until the launch of the new E and F lines.
